Belt-rip detection switches
Belt-rip detection switches serve to safeguard machines and plants used to convey bulk goods. These switches are used in conjunction with a special wire system with wire guides. The wire system is installed below and perpendicular to the conveyor belt. It triggers the switch if the belt is damaged, sending a signal to the machine control unit and immediately stopping the belt. Once the foreign object has been removed, and if necessary the belt has been repaired, the belt-rip detection switch can be reactivated by simply pressing the reset button, and the belt can be restarted.
The reliable belt-rip detection switches from steute have been especially developed for use in extreme conditions and are thus ideally suited to the bulk goods industry.
